Calvin Martin born and raised in Brooklyn New York, moved to south jersey in 2004 to earn his high school diploma from Willingboro high school in 2007. He would then go to receive and associates in liberal arts from Burlington county college while studying under the direction of Jaclyn Augustine Smith at core academy of movement. Upon his 2010 graduation he would train under the direction of Shawn Lamere Williams in Eleone connection. Calvin is currently back and fourth to NY dancing as a principal member of SKIN dance theatre, along managing Atomik legacy dance crew here rowan campus. Calvin serves as in inspiration to individuals going through life situations and overcoming those tribulations through passion and perseverance. His mentors include Tina Thompson. Laneise mobley , Josef Woodson, Shawn Lamere Williams, and Jaclyn Augustin Smith.

Native American, Trinity Norwood shares her American Dream with Dr. Stanley El, D.Div. This ambitious young lady aspires to do great things for her tribe through media and public outreach. Join us to hear her story only on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS FM.
Born and raised Jersey girl, Trinity Norwood, has lived her life to the mantra “the things that make me different, make me.” Since graduating from high school in 2007 she has dedicated her time and efforts to sharing her ‘different’ things with the world. In 2008 she founded a nonprofit organization called Native New Jersey. NNJ creates and presents educational programs about the first inhabitants of the tri-state area, the Nanticoke and Lenape Indians. As a citizen and Tribal Princess of the Nanticoke Lenni- Lenape Indians she hopes to share her culture with today’s youth and young adults in order to dispel stereotypes and misconceptions about the Native community. After graduating from Thomas Edison State College with a B.A. in Communications. (more…)
